To ensure that retail investors’ interests and concerns are considered as policies are being developed, members of the Canadian Securities Administrators decided to set up a pan-Canadian Investor Advisory Panel.

The CSA’s Investor Advisory Panel (IAP), established in July 2022, has two main functions:

• Representing retail investors to assist the CSA with its mandate, with a view to improving securities regulation and policy development
• Enhancing investor involvement in market regulation by promoting dialogue between retail investors and CSA members

The CSA IAP provides feedback and written comments to existing and proposed CSA rules and policies, as well as ongoing concept papers and discussion drafts.
